After eight years with my fiancé we finally set the date. I was fast approaching 50 years old and I had never been married. I was certainly not your typical bride. Shopping in San Diego with one of my best friends, I must have tried on 75 dresses. When I tried on this particular dress, my friend took one look and said to me, "Teri, this is your dress!" She had tears in her eyes and I knew, this was the one. The look on my fiancé's face was all I needed to know that this was indeed my dress. When I walked into the church with my mother walking me down the aisle to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" to honor my grandmother who had passed away, will be a moment I never forget. On May 24, 2010, my mother passed away and that moment and that dress will be a beautiful memory forever.
