Trina Sankey, Maggie Bride
My mom and I went shopping for the perfect wedding dress. I had in mind something simple, a-line, and pretty. While trying on dresses, my mom and I spoke of ways that we could remember and recognize my grandma who had passed away - we thought maybe with her favorite flower. I tried on several dresses but none of them fit the bill. The bridal consultant brought out this dress, which was not at all what I had in mind.
I put the dress on and felt like the most beautiful bride to be. I walked out of the dressing room and the look on everyone's face told me that this could be the dress. But it wasn't what I had in mind. I was unaware that Sottero and Midgley dresses were named after women. We found out that this dress was named Elaine. My grandma's name was not Elaine, but she did lose an infant daughter before the birth of my mom - her name was Elaine. When we found this out, my mom and I both looked at each other and knew that this was my dress and this is how I was supposed to incorporate my grandma into our wedding.
There is only one word to describe this dress - stunning! So many people told me they've never seen a dress so beautiful. Thank you Sottero & Midgley for making this dress - it was perfect in every way!
